Sorry it has been a while since I have posted anything. I have now finished two of my A-Levels and am fitting in some last revision time for my Philosophy and Ethics exam next week, then I will have finished school forever...!

It has been 28 degrees in Kyenjojo, Uganda, today which makes me rather envious as it has been horrible weather at home!

I have recently got a new book on East Africa so after my exams I plan on reading through that thoroughly and in general, I will be doing a lot more research into Uganda as I only have a very basic knowledge on it at the moment. I think it is very important for me to get a strong understanding of Uganda's culture and history before I live there as it is a country that has had many hardships and I would like to feel I have made an effort to understand it all.

Also after my exams I need to drastically start practicing my guitar. It is a lovely guitar but has been neglected in the past months due to art deadlines and art college applications. So at the moment, if I was asked to play something, I would be a rather large embarrassment to myself and I plan on taking my guitar to Uganda so I need to improve... a lot!

June is a bit of a busy month for me but I will try to keep this blog up-dated with information I learn about Uganda.

Also in June and fast approaching is my 160 mile bicycle ride with my sister Georgina. This is happening on the 18th-20th June. Tomorrow (weather depending...!) we will be doing a 25 mile practice as that would be half the miles we need to do in one day.

If you would like to support my sponsored bicycle ride and my year in Uganda please contribute on my Virgin Money Giving Page. However big or small, all donations are greatly appreciated.

I am now on £3,467 and my target is £5,400.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my 12 months teaching in Uganda so far!!
